I am dying to start using what we learned on the EAA aircraft covering course. So I started  covering the cabin. Using aircraft fabric covering system from polyfiber polyester fabric and randolph fabric cement. And of course, latex paint!
My wife did also attend on the covering course, and she knows fabric…I just need to get her in to the shop…

I have bought silicone cooling hoses from Do88. It’s from the car racing industry. Last much longer than standard hoses. And it looks cool to  😉

Latex/ acrylic outside house paint. After a lot of resourcing, I found that latex is the stuff to go with. There is a certified brand called stewart paint system, but I know it will do just fine with house paint. The engine worked fine. But it needs some adjustments to reduce the vibrations.

I made a simulated wing spar, to be able to mount the upper boom tubes so that I could start the engine.

The rudder cable tension is provided by this rubber ropes in a cable pulley.

I mounted this nylon/delrin tubes that the cables run through.

Ready for a test run.
