The engine worked fine. But it needs some adjustments to reduce the vibrations.

Me and my projects
Category: AKKA/Tierra
The weather is getting warmer and my garage air heater is holding up. So I decided to tear down the “inner wall” and start mounting the tail to the cabin. I have two days of from work so lets go!
Here is the lower boom tube attached to rear belly tube.
The fin mounts to lower boom tube.
The tail wheel.
I don’t know if the tail spring is stiff enough. I will instal an extra leaf spring if it is to soft.
The terratrim, stabilator trim.
Looks great!
I love the swedish colours.
The transportation and storing mode. This upper boom tubes is normally attached out on the trailing edge of the wings. The prop wouldn’t make a good job other wise.
This is the most rewarding part of the project so far.

The control surfaces is already painted. But I don’t like the silver colour. The sails will last several years so I will give it a makeover. The original silver and mylar coat stays on, I’m just painting latex based house paint on top. It don’t need much before it looks nice. After 1 week I will polish and wax the painted areas. The wings are also getting a new paint.
The latex paint is also giving the fabric an extra UV protection.

Fuel tank mount.
Control yoke and pedals. After test sitting the cabin, I realized that the brake pedals are way to high. They are going down to the floor again.
Aileron control cables.
The cables are extra long, so that they can be used in a Tbird2 type steering yoke later.
Cooling radiator.
The brakes went down to the heels.
The old instruments are staying until further.
My new alu pitot tube.
